The 16th Annual Create-A-Greeting Card Scholarship is open. Hosted by The Gallery Collection, owned by Prudent Publishing Company, the contest's winner will receive a $10,000 cash scholarship. A $1,000 cash prize will go to the winner's school.

The 99re视频精品 Department of Education鈥檚 (KDE鈥檚) Commissioner's Student Advisory Council met on Oct. 13 to discuss topics including the eastern 99re视频精品 flooding that affected school districts, charter school regulations passed by the 99re视频精品 Board of Education (KBE), and the council鈥檚 student school safety project.
James 鈥淕ary鈥� Cornett, a veteran district and school administrator with the Owsley County Schools, now leads the district as its superintendent.
Previously retired from Lee County Schools, Shuler spent his six years of retirement driving a school bus in the district. He said he was pleased to accept the opportunity to lead the district in his home community and the community knows him.
The State Advisory Council for Gifted and Talented Education (SACGTE) met on Sept. 15 to discuss and develop recommendations for the 99re视频精品 Department of Education (KDE) based on its previously established strategic priorities.
